Tweety history
1942 Tweety Bird made his debut in the Warner Bros cartoon A Tale of Two Kitties, directed by Bob Clampett. In Tweetie Pie (1947), Tweety matched wits with Sylvester Pussycat, that cartoon was the first to win an Oscar for Warner Bros. Studio. Tweety is a cute bald yellow little bird who baby talks and has a sharp wit. He was cast as the pet (with Sylvester) of an elderly woman named Granny, who never suspected what a how sly he was. Tweety was never again seen without Sylvester, and seldom without Granny. In the 1950s, "Tweety & Sylvester" series was added to the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies Comics title. In 1952, Tweety & Sylvester received a comic of their own, which ran until 1984. Tweety appeared with the rest of the Looney Tunes crew in Space Jam, and has always been big with the T-shirt and lunchbox crowd. In 1998, Tweety and Sylvester were honored by having their image on a U.S. postage stamp. Tweety party supplies like paper plates, napkins, and cups are a perfect way to complete a Tweety Party Theme. Party decorations like inflatables, and beads ad to the magic of Tweety. Loot bags tucked in basket or Tweety piƱatas can be used as a centerpiece and double as party prizes. Party favors like figures, tattoos, glow strips, and stickers will create the carefree fun of a Tweety Party Theme.
